The Center for Workforce Development at Walters State’s Greeneville/Greene County Center for Higher Education will offer a series of workshops for job seekers in July. Topics include computer literacy, job search skills, resume and cover letters and decision-making. The workshops are funded by partnership through Walters State Community College and the Tennessee Department of Workforce Development. Workshops are offered at no cost, but reservations are required. Reservations may be made by calling the center at (423) 798-0906.

Denise Carr, a WIA career specialist based at the Tennessee Career Center, will be teaching the workshops. All the workshops will be held at the Walters State Greeneville/Greene County Center. The center is located downtown at 215 North College Street. A three-day special workshop entitled FREE (Focus on Reaping Every Effort) is planned July 20-22. This series will cover how to improve relationships, networking and coping strategies.

- Job Readiness Series 1 – July 12, 19, or 26, 9 a.m.-noon (This workshop includes job search, resume and cover letters, interviewing techniques and impressive applications.)
